| The
cottage Casa Amarela is also called "Por do Sol", in
english "sunset".Reason for that is that
Paul do Mar is the most western village directly situated at
the coast with the most sunhours of Madeira.
And that means something for Madeira ... PAÙL DO MAR after the opening of the
tunnel in autumn 2000 Paul do Mar became more and more accessable.Until
than one could only reach the village by boat. Today most of the people
live from fishing.

On the roof terrace you have the most splendid views
and beautiful sunsets.Those are the highlights,which you should appreciate
while far away from the normal tourism in Funchal.
Even it seems far away to the capital Funchal,it takes you only at about 45 minutes drive to Funchal. |

"CASA AMARELA"
was restaurated in winter 2000 in a modern and
mediterranean Stile. You will not miss anything that you are used to in
your home.The house consists of 3 bedrooms (each for 2 persons), 3
bathrooms, a big and fully equiped kitchen,living-/dining room ,
bodega, balcony with seaview and roofterrace with seaview. The house is
situated directy at the ocean.

After the construction of the harbour for the fisher boats, Paul do Mar become a fishing village. Today you find some small supermarkets, bars and some restaurants. Behind the village you can see the silhouette of the mountains of Madeira: walking,hiking or even paragliding - everything is possible. On the stony beach you find surfer from the whole world. Access to the ocean is only possible on calm days - alternatively you have the oportunity to use ( charged) - the Hotelpool of Aparthotel Paul do Mar nearby. | |
