Colina Da Faja

Situated in one of the most charming and rural places of Madeira, Colina da Fajã is very well located at the south west coast of Madeira Island, enjoying a splendid view over the Fajã da Ovelha Mountains embracing the blue from the Atlantic Ocean. This is both the sunniest and most intact side of the island.
The house is furnished with traditional beds and ceiling of wooden beams, the nine rooms have a private bathroom, central heating, tv satellite , ADSL Internet and direct dial phone. Surrounded by gardens and the pine forest, this traditional Madeira house built in the beginning of the XX century, also has a games room, a library with a fireplace, an outdoor heated swimming pool and a barbecue.

Colina da Fajã it's the ideal place for nature lovers and walkers who wish to discover the beauty of Madeira Island trough the “Levadas” (water channels made to transport water from the north to south of the island that allows walker lovers to discover the Madeira from the inside. The “Levada Walks” are walking trails along the maintenance paths beside the Levadas)
In front of the house, you can enjoy one of the most beautiful and long Levadas called Levada Nova. It starts on Ribeira Brava and ends in a small village after Ponta do Pargo.
We also are within easy reach of the high plateau of Paúl da Serra, where you can walk to the waterfall of Rabaçal.
