HOTEL
It is a hotel with a human touch. Full of little stories to tell. Situated at Rua da Carreira, formerly known as Rua da Carreira dos Cavalos, because it was here that horse races would occur. We can easily imagine the ladies coming to the windows and balconies to admire the courage of the knights, between sighs and glances cast through the lace of their fans.
During Carnival, revellers danced and sang in the street. Fruit fights would take place and rotten eggs thrown from the windows over the unsuspecting masquerades, to the amusement of the wealthy bourgeoisie who prepared for the occasion with extravagant fantasies. The collection of the Photographia Vicentes Museum, located on the same street, is a testimony of these past times.
Residency, commerce, factory - this is the heritage of its building. The stone of its centennial walls has been preserved and is present in most of its 24 rooms and suite.
