From May to October there are twice-weekly catamaran cruises along the south coast to the western tip of the island. On the way you will have the opportunity to swim and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

The journey by catamaran takes you from Funchal, the capital of Madeira, along the south coast to Ponta do Pargo, the westernmost point of the island. On the tour, you will pass by breathtaking landscapes with deep valleys and high cliffs, such as Fajã dos Padres.. From the sea, you will discover bays that can only be reached from the water and beautiful stone terraces, which are at dizzying heights and thus difficult to access and must be partially processed under dangerous conditions. The drive leads past many charming coastal villages, such as Câmara de Lobos, Ribeira Brava, Ponta do Sol, Calheta, Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar. On the way you will learn a lot of interesting things about the history of Madeira as well as land and people and a guide is always at your disposal for any questions. In Ponta do Pargo, the western tip of Madeira, the boat stops and you have the opportunity to swim or snorkel in the crystal clear waters or even try stand up paddling or kayaking. At lunch in the form of a buffet you can enjoy different dishes (fish and meat, salads). On the way back, at least one more stop will be made to refresh yourself in the splendid waters of the Atlantic. On many of the tours you can also see dolphins or even whales. This coastal trip is from May to October every Thursday and Sunday. The tour starts at 09:00 in the Marina of Funchal, return is around 18: 00.
