Day 1 & 2

Estalagem A Quinta  


 Santo da Serra  - Estalagem A Quinta 


Arrival and delivery of the rental car with all the required documents needed for the week. Santo da Serra is your destination. Here you will find a beautiful mountain scenery, many hiking trails, one of which will take you to the eastern tip of the island.


Overnight at the Estalagem A Quinta.

Day 3 & 4

Estalagem Eira Do Serrado


 Eira do Serrado 


Drive to the Nuns Valley, but first, a stop at your next accommodation, the Residencial Eira do Serrado. Here you will find a viewing platform that will allow you some fantastic views of the Nun´s Valley below and of the  Pico do Arieiro summit. Descend into the valley and sample the delightful chestnuts  or go to the summit.

Day 5 & 6





Continue west to the Residencial Encumeada located in Encumeada. From the hotel, there are many accessible hiking trails tha can take you either to the Pico Grande, or to the Paul da Serra plateau. Close to the hotel is a viewpoint from which you can see both the North and the South Coast.

Day 7


 Residencial Amparo 


In order for a stress free return at the airport,  today you will go to Machico and enjoy your last day in this small fishing village – Zarco, the island´s discoverer, first landed here.
