Madeira is already internationally known and popular with surfers. The rough and steep coastline and the rocks at the bottom of the sea produce excellent waves that reach up to 8m high. Particularly professionals are enthusiastic about the tube tunnels, the right-hander waves and the hollow waves, which you can find in the west and the south of the island. For beginners, quiter spots are available in the east of the island.
Course:
The lessons are supervised by a surfing instructor licensed by the FPS (Portuguese Surfing Association)who has been on the board since his earliestchildhood. There is a maximum of 6 people in each group, so that a very individual course can take place. Only surfboards of very good quality are used and the security aspect is very important. In addition to first-class lessons, there will be a lot of fun.
The course takes place in Porto da Cruz where ideal conditions for beginners prevail. On request a transfer is possible.

This very individual couse takes place in different places, depending of the weather. One of the most expereinced surfers of the island will teach you. This course is not only for beginners but also for regular and experiencet surfers).
