Detailed description of the possible hikes:

Monday/Thursday - In the Realm of Waterfalls

One of the most famous walks on the island awaits you today. Walk with us through the impressive laurel forest along an ancient Levada to the two highlights of Raba'al: the Risco waterfall and the 25 springs. Wild-romantic splashes the water everywhere. Even Unesco awarded this landscape as a World Heritage Site.

Tuesday - The highest peaks

Today's hike leads through the most bizarre part of the mountain world of the island. Steep flanks and striking peaks line the path. This alpine mountain tour runs mostly over stairways, which were carved into the rock in laborious work. Yellow-flowering endemic Madeira violets, the rock boy herb (orchid) and broom inster are some of the botanical highlights that are given to us as a belbodiment for the ups and downs.

Wednesday - The Eastern Cape

One of the most popular hikes in Madeira is the way to the fartip of the island due to the magnificent views of bizarre rock formations. Basalt and tuff rock in warm red and ochre tones inspire not only the photographers among us. We can also admire the neighbouring islands of Porto Santo and the desertas. Flora and fauna have a lot to offer us here and sunny weather is almost guaranteed here.

Friday - To the green cauldron

The wildly romantic Levada Trail into the "green cauldron" leads us to one of the most original regions of the island. It is important to cross narrow tunnels, from the mountain slopes impressive waterfalls rush into the valley. We experience jungle-like vegetation, imposing gorges... and always the Levada driven into the rock. A visit to the Queimadas National Park is included.

Saturday - The Fairytale Forest

On the high plateau Paul da Serra our hike begins first to a beautiful panoramic balcony above the gorge of Raba'al. The trail has only recently been reworked, opening up views of the beautiful laurel forests and the valleys of Ribeira da Janela and Chao da Ribeira. Afterwards it goes through very varied nature to the fairytale forest Fanal. Here are the oldest and most impressive laurel trees on the island.

Sunday - 2 Levadas in the Valley of ribeira Ponta do Sol

During this Levada hike we get to know two different levadas. At the Levada do Moinho we hike leisurely with spectacular views of the sea into the valley of the Ribeira Ponta do Sol. Passing fertile fields and sprawling blackberry bushes. We climb over steps up to the wilder Levada Nova. This levada carved into the rock leads us through a waterfall and a 200m long tunnel out of the valley.
